Message	Switching the coil packs will prove if they are good if they work in the other cylinders, but it doesnt prove that the firing signal is actually working for cylinder #1. I would pull the injector connector off (to stop it from sending fuel incase it is working), pull the coil pack out and put a spark plug in it and lay it on the top of the plenum and see if you have spark when you crank the car over.
